I truly do not think that I have met a more fun couple.  When Saabi and Stephan came to meet with me and discuss the details of their wedding, they were so lighthearted, and happy. Neither appeared to be stress or anxious as some couple are, instead they knew what was important to them and what details they wanted incorporated into their flowers and the rest was just “make it beautiful,” boy did we ever! At the time, and actually not until the week before did I know the not only were they going to have a traditional wedding, but also going to have a Nikah. I had never heard of this, so I had to check it out. The Nikah ceremony, is the Muslim marriage ceremony. In the Islamic tradition the marriage contract is signed during the Nikah and it’s during this event that the bride and groom say, “I do.” I was so excited to see the beautiful pictures of the ceremony and the colorful dresses that were worn. The Nikas was held Friday night at the Hilton Garden, in Rochester NY. Then Saturday, started the festivities off early! The traditional American wedding was held at The Wilder Room in Rochester, NY. We had the honor of setting up the room, and let me tell you it is beautiful! Walking in to this “office building” you would never expect the site that awaits you on the second floor.

I was so excited to be able to see pictures the next day, many times it is several weeks before photographers release the pictures, but their photographer Kortni Maria, LLC, was amazing and we had first looks the next day. Of course all of Saabi and Stephan’s friends and family were posting to their IG non-stop, which I love!!
